Cathy Davis Appointed to Board Membership

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA, USA, AUGUST 29, 2008: The African University Foundation has appointed Ms. Cathy Davis to its Board of Trustees. She brings a wealth of expertise and is well positioned to support the Foundation’s mission.

Cathy Davis is a Staff Accountant at the Central Indiana Community Foundation.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University.  Cathy serves on the Board of Directors of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Board of Directors including a three-year service as the organization’s Treasurer.  She is actively involved with several civic organizations.

Ms. Davis is interested in ensuring proper financial controls and creating a financial climate for satisfying African University Foundation’s mission.  She brings to the board expertise in accounting and years of experience in corporate and nonprofit accounting to assist in managing the assets of the foundation.   Cathy sees African University as an excellent opportunity to provide students in Africa an opportunity to acquire an integrated experiential education to become leaders.

African University Foundation was established to serve and facilitate the development of African University in Tali, Cameroon. The mission of African University will be to ensure the opportunity for all deserving students in Africa and abroad to gain an integrated experiential education, develop their talents and transform to become leaders of society.
