INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA, USA, November 21, 2008: As part of its ongoing measured and systematic progress from concept to toward the implementation of African University in Tali Cameroon, African University Foundation presents a symposium entitled “International Symposium on the Role of African Higher Education in Sustainable Community Development: The Case for African University.” The conference will take place from December 28 to 30, 2008 at the Tali 1 Town Hall in Tali, Cameroon. The event is open to the public.
The sessions of the three-day symposium will include up to nine paper presentations, followed by questions from the audience and discussions with the presenters. Discussions and papers presented will focus upon the role African University can and should play in enabling environmentally sustainable, sound community development and leadership development in the Africa of tomorrow. The symposium is a partnership of African University Foundation in the United States of America and Cameroon. Funding for the Symposium was supplied in part by the Efroymson Fund, a Central Indiana Community Foundation Fund and by the Indiana’s Forum for International Professional Services, Inc.
African University Foundation was established to serve and facilitate the development of African University in Tali, Cameroon.
